We purchased two Morserinos for our club members to learn CW and find out the 600 mAh LiPo doesn't last long for group use.
Our member made a 3D printed case to accommodate a 18650 battery, which runs the M32 for a good while. The design is based on Willi's M32 case, along with another fellow's 18650 cell holder. Here is the picture and link. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5160162

My entire routine got derailed
Dan D'Eon
I bought a Morserino32 just before all this covid business. I started to learn, and then life interfered and my routine got completely broken, so I stopped learning. But now I'd like to take another swing at it, except the device remembers what I had learned and will start me off about halfway thru.
I'd like to clear my user data so the device teaches from the beginning again. Is that something that's easy to do? How do I do that, please? Best regards, Dan AG7GM

Has anyone managed to compile this project 'morserino' v4.1 using Visual Studio Code with Platformio on an Apple Mac?

Has anyone managed to compile this project 'morserino' v4.1 for download using Visual Studio Code with Platformio on an Apple Mac?
I am struggling with the pre-declarations and could do with some pointers on this as trying to open the project in Arduino 1.8.16 results in an instant crash with no warning. Thanks in advance Roger B

Thanks for your answer. I found your email in my spam box. Okay, it's just odd that it takes so long even with normal post. Guess we will have to have some more patience than. Have a nice day Hans Op wo 8 dec. 2021 om 16:29 schreef Willi, OE1WKL <willi@...>:

Re: Order not received
I sent you a personal email already this morning regarding this. While mail within the EU usually takes about 7-10 days, you have to acknowledge that in the weeks before Christmas postal service is at their limits - and the ongoing pandemic does not help either. You chose free shipping that uses mail services without tracking. Before Christmas this can early take 3 weeks, if not more. If it does not arrive within 4 weeks I consider it lost and will ship a free replacement.

I am sure people here on the list can confirm that free shipping generally is quite reliable, albeit slow sometimes. For people who cannot wait I offer DHL shipping, which of course comes at significant cost, but is ectemey fast and reliably so. 73 Willi OE1WKL Von meinem Mobiltelefon gesendet

Hello, 2 weeks ago my order was shipped inside Europe. I'm still waiting delivery. Mails sent to info@... are not answered. Can I please have some feedback on this? Thank you Hans Coppens Belgium

New Morserino built
I’ve read instructions twice before opening the package ;-) then an afternoon of soldering, assembling and (!) testing: everything OK. I’m already sharing my wonderful experience with friends.
That's all for now

Hi! The Morserino cannot talk to Mumble directly, you need to use a computer in between. Mumble is a VOIP protocol with very low latency, which makes it suitable to use for CW. Morse code is transmitted as audio in this case. As the Morserino has a separate audio I/O jack, you can use that to feed the Morserinos audio into the computer, and also to get the computers audio into the Morserino, where it will be „re-shaped“ and both played on the loudspeaker, and also decoded and shown on the display. The attached document describes how to build a cable to interface the 4 pole Morserino jack into two separate audio jacks for a PC or sound card with separate microphone-in and audio-out jacks. 73 Willi

Re: Sound Problems
Ron,
The lack of responses seems to indicate that this is not a common problem. But this also means we need more information about your problem to be able to come up with some advice.
So it has been working OK? Is it a 1st or 2nd edition M32?
Which knobs are you referring to? Please be specific - red button, black knob, or the (big) blue trimmer (in case of 2nd edition)? Do all other functions work OK regarding the black encoder knob and the red push button? Can you use the red button to bring the black knob into audio volume mode? When you set the volume with the black knob, is the indication bar on the display changing? When you adjust the big blue trimmer, you should be able to bring the headphone volume down to zero… this trimmer only adjusts headphone volume, it has no influence on the speaker volume. It might also help to provide a short video that illustrates the problem… 73 Willi

Re: New Morserino Build
I received my Morserino kit yesterday and built it today.
Regarding batteries, here in the US the JST-PH connectors seem to be much more common than the little Molex. I ordered these batteries: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CHMM252/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Then when I built my kit today I used a JST-PH connector instead of the Molex. These have the correct polarity. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07NWD5NTN/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Re: Mumble
Gwen here is the passage from the manual I am referring to: iCW/Ext Trx In this modus a transceiver connected to the Morserino-32 is being keyed, or you can use the line-out audio to either key for example an FM transceiver, or use CW over the Internet (iCW - this uses Mumble as an audio exchange protocol). Any CW signals Morserino-32 User Manual 28 | The Top Menu and the Morserino Modi As you can see it says audio exchange can be accomplished with Mumble. I have used Mumble with RigPi quite successfully. Claude W. "Bil" Johnson K8MPW OMISS 17m Band Coordinator #9757 SKCC #15372, NAQCC #8350, FISTS #17765 100W&AWire#4219 FT8DMC#12643 RRI
